ABBA THE MUSIC - The Ultimate Tribute to ABBA

About The Show

ABBA, the second biggest selling pop group ever (after the Beatles), will never reform. That's a fact, confirmed by the former members. But the legend lives on with
ABBA THE MUSIC - THE ULTIMATE TRIBUTE TO ABBA, the award winning tribute to the Swedish fab four.

Since it started in 2001, the show went through considerable artistic developments and now makes use of the latest in modern technology, with dazzling stage lighting and lively video projections. This way this production not only takes you on a trip down memory lane, but also offers the audience a genuine modern spectacle, worthy of any other current popular act.

A lot of effort has been made to make this the ultimate tribute to, to quote Bono, one of the best pop groups there ever was.

But most importantly, what brings this elaborate production to a higher level of experience for the public is the inherent and exceptional musical quality, with 3 strong pillars:

  • Swedish singers Katja and Camilla exude ABBA from their pores during their performance. They are no 'interchangeable actors', but true singers. On the tour bus the girls often listen to different ABBA-songs to pronounce every little detail perfect. For a bit of history: Camilla can be seen as a child, singing along in the 'Thank you for the music' video clip;
  • The National Symphony Orchestra of London, conducted by Matthew Freeman is one of the finest orchestras in Europe and has worked with the likes of Elvis Costello, Robbie Williams and Sir Cliff Richard.
  • The inclusion of original ABBA musicians.

If you wonder why ABBA's former musicians chose this show to participate in, here are their answers:

Mats Ronander (guitarist and vocalist on the ABBA tours):

"I think ABBA THE MUSIC is the best ABBA cover act that has ever been done! The band is very professional and the production is awesome!"

"It is fun to play this lovely music again. It was over 30 years ago!"

Ulf Andersson (saxophone player on 'I do, I do, I do, I do, I do' and on ABBA's world tours):

"The receptions from the audiences are similar to what we experienced back in the Seventies"

"It feels stimulating to bring back the memories and the opportunity, for a second time in life, to work with the music of one of the world's most successful bands."

Finn Sjöberg (guitarist on ABBA tours and on hits like 'Mamma Mia'):

"The show is performed with the serious ambition to put on a show the way ABBA would have"

Janne Schaffer (guitarist on most ABBA albums):

"My favourite moments in the show are the guitar solo on Eagle, which I recorded with the real ABBA and when I get the chance to tell the audience a little bit about the real ABBA"

Lasse Wellander (ABBA's main guitarist on tour and records):

"The group really manages the heritage from ABBA in a serious and elaborated way"

"ABBA THE MUSIC belongs to the absolute 'crème de la crème' of ABBA cover bands"

Roger Palm (drummer on Dancing Queen and many other ABBA hits):

"My favourite moment in the show is when we start to play 'Dancing Queen' and everybody is joining in"
